Pros and Cons of Online Class

Stay-at-Home”, the most common phrase that we hear right now. Way back March 2020, classes were suspended due to Covid-19. Most of us thought it would only be suspended for a while. Little did we know, schools right now are still not conducting face-to-face classes. This pandemic really affected our lives. One of the affected parts is our Education.

With the pandemic going on around the world, the education of the students were stalled for months. For the majority, the learning of the students should not be stopped just because of the pandemic. Because of this, the authorities spent their time discussing different options on how to continue the learning of the students. After some time, they suggested that classes would be conducted online.

Through the utilization of technology, classes were able to resume. Having online classes surely helps the students to discover new things daily. It serves as a way for them to expand their knowledge and explore their skills. However, online classes are not just all about the good side, it also has its downside.

Personally, I think that learning through online helps us to stay safe, given what situation we are facing right now. It assures the parents that their children are learning comfortably inside their homes. For some of the parents, they think that conducting classes online helps them to save some money since the students don't need lunch money and transportation allowance.

For the cons, we should know that not every student have the same situation as the other students. There are students who couldn't afford any gadgets that they can use to attend their online classes. Unstable internet connection is also an issue in this situation. Having a poor connection will surely affect the learning of the students. Learning at home also causes lack of social interaction since the students were not able to get to know their classmates face-to-face. Time management is also one of the problems in online classes.

We all know that all of us are still struggling to adjust with the new learning approach. That is why I am encouraging everyone to be more kind and understanding, especially right now. Keep in mind that we should always be ready to help one another, especially with the problem that we are facing right at the moment.
