10 tips for healthy eating

1.Be realistic: Keep in mind that changing your food habits is difficult, so start small. Make goals that are both reachable and practical. If you normally eat out every day, consider dining out every other day for a few weeks. 2.Know that you can still enjoy food: Eating healthy entails finding a balance while yet allowing yourself to enjoy your food.

3.Follow a healthy eating plan: Those who make a plan are more likely to succeed in shifting their diet to one that is more nutritious. 4.Reward yourself: Reward yourself with something you've been wanting, such as a pedicure, once you've completed little goals. 5.If you fail don’t punish yourself: Setbacks will occur, but you must overcome them and get back on track. Allowing a setback to define your future is a mistake. 6.Plan your meals: There will be less waste if you plan your meals ahead of time, make a grocery list, and stick to the plan. 7.Cook at home and pack your lunch: Cooking at home is always less expensive than eating out; meal prep all of your meals for the week on one day or make one meal at a time and eat all of the leftovers before making another; either way, you'll save money.

8.Replace meat with other proteins: Because meat is frequently the most expensive portion of any supermarket shopping trip, substituting other proteins like eggs, seeds, or canned fish might help you save a few dollars. 9.Eat produce that is in season: When it's in season, buy local produce and freeze what you don't need; when it's not, buy frozen fruits and vegetables. 10.Keep a food diary: Keeping a food diary can help you stay on track by keeping note of what you're eating and the amount of fat or calories in each meal.
