I STILL BELIEVE

“I don’t want it to be her story or my story. I want it to be our story.” – Jeremy

It is human nature to love and to be loved, thus loving was not an accident. Various thoughts may arise as a result of what transpired. There was some gruesome scenery to be seen. And there is no other option except to accept those facts. It was an incredible feeling to be surrounded by affection. True living is lived with love.

Love at first sight is what other people define as love in the first place. Acting like a dumb person just to get someone to acknowledge you.

The Bottom Line Tears will be shed, but the manipulations will be felt.

He meets one of his idols, Jean-Luc (Nathan Parsons, Roswell), the lead singer of a successful Christian rock band, almost soon after arriving, and he is invited to assist him at their college concert. Backstage, Jeremy notices Melissa (Britt Robertson, A Dog's Purpose), who is rhapsodically singing along with the music. It's love at first sight for him, and he manages to awkwardly introduce himself shortly after. However, while Melissa plainly reciprocates his attention, her already close, if not passionate, friendship with Jean-Luc complicates any budding romance she may have with Jeremy.

That is, until Jeremy persuades her that their love is predestined and that God must undoubtedly desire them to be together. Melissa is compelled to proclaim, "The God of a trillion stars knows my name!" while watching a display at a planetarium. ”

Lines like this reveal the screenplay's lack of subtlety, which tends to light everything in an euphoric glow matched by Kristopher Sean Kimlin's stunning cinematography. Despite the highly dramatic storyline events, nothing appears to have any meaningful emotional impact. When Jean-Luc learns about the couple's relationship, he appears hurt at first, but quickly recovers. When Melissa is diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer, Jeremy proposes right away.

Jeremy's musical career grows as Melissa suffers difficult surgery and cancer treatments (quietly, since she never appears unwell). He often asks his audience to pray for Melissa at his concerts, detailing her sufferings in between encouraging songs.

Melissa's cancer appears to be in remission, and the pair has a beautiful beach wedding officiated by Jeremy's father, a former pastor. However, as anyone familiar with the classic song that inspired the film's title will know, their happiness is fleeting.

To its credit, the film grapples with problems such as the difficulties of preserving faith when tragedy hits for no apparent cause; one of the film's most touching scenes occurs when a bereaved Jeremy seeks his father for assistance in making sense of it (Sinise, delivering a quietly understated performance, plays the scene beautifully). But, more often than not, I Still Believe feels like the cinematic counterpart of the soaring choruses and heavy-handed lyrics of the Christian pop songs its main character delivers. Every emotion is overtly communicated, with the end result feeling more manipulative than affecting.

Its cloying elements are only slightly mitigated by the fact that it is a genuine story.

Living in a society where things aren't perfectly organized is one of the most difficult things for a Christian to accomplish. Putting them in a random order and properly describing them. I'm lovingly looking after them. Love is the most important factor in anything. It entails living, caring, acting, a little nagging, and a lot of daring. God expressly advised me not to doubt the love I received or gave me before I became old. It requires a lot of faith, to be precise, as the film underlines. Before giving someone your opinion, double-check it. People live even when they are in suffering if they are occupied by love. Even though the seasons do not take their position in harships, if love is what people believe, everything will improve.
